Getting Back In Balance

Friends,

I know that I’ve been scarce around these parts. No excuses. That’s what seems to happen when I am super busy working on everyone else’s dreams and visions but my own. During the pandemic and throughout the last year, I was grateful to be working again. Nice to receive regular checks and extend my skills on behalf of a bunch of different clients and positions. I am proud of what I accomplished. But I was exhausted. For lots of reasons. Something had to give.

So, as we move into the second half to 2023, I am both relieved and happy to be back to my solopreneur hustle. And one of my plans that has moved to the front burner once again is my genealogy web series, The DNA Journey. I have been writing essays on the subjects for about 5 years, going back to Facebook Notes and then moving to Medium.com. That storytelling will be the backdrop for the web series, now in production.

I have started a GoFundMe for the effort, and will be posting regular updates there and to my Patreon page to garner more public support. I have also been busy applying for various grants to assist with production costs and related expenses. I know what it means to hustle, and will be doing so on my own behalf for the foreseeable future. Whether you are able to lend some financial support, repost my information to your networks, or just lend an encouraging word from time to time, I appreciate your interest. And I hope that you will be ready to tune in when the final product is ready for release.
