As The World Opens Again

Hey good people!

COVID be damned, we’re finally at a place where people can once again gather and celebrate life. So, of course, that prompts another round of edits and considerations of what works on this site and what needs to be reconfigured. This blog page, I’m afraid, isn’t going to make the cut.

Perhaps once I’m back performing live, with or without the band, and stacking up other appearances, I’ll have more to share in this format. But for now, I think it best to let this version of the blog go and direct people to my Medium page where I write a bit more frequently. And, if I’m honest, even that forum hasn’t gotten much attention from me recently. I’ve been very busy teaching a group of students in talk radio and doing some freelance production & PR for a client who had to make the full pivot to virtual because of the shutdowns. Thankfully, that arena has been very fruitful, and has even earned me another film credit in the process.

You really should check our the documentary, titled WE BREATHE, WE LIVE: Brotherly Love Protest Stories (available via this link until June 24) - https://video.whyy.org/video/we-breathe-we-live-brotherly-love-protest-stories-4tprzs/

Now that the radio season is ending, along with the fiscal year, I’ll have more time to focus on some of my lingering unfinished business, like my own web series about my discoveries and challenges with my genealogical journey. I have a working title for it, but am keeping it a bit close until I’m further along in the creative process. I had a video series named UNSUNG years ago, and…well...you see what happened with that.

One of the other success stories I can brag about while we were secluded from one another is that my Soul Sanctuary Radio operations are now available all day, every day, at this link. The full schedule of shows is up on the Soul Sanctuary site. Any time you want to listen, we’ve got great content from the past 16 years of podcasting and our vast musical library in rotation.

That’s the kind of thing I want to elevate in this moment. The way that I’ve continued to hustle for the culture, and great folks like you have answered the call for funding and promotional boosts. I don’t have to recreate anything. I just need to let more of the world know about what is already here and where my talents will take me next.

Thanks for being a part of the journey. I intend to keep you entertained for a good long time, still.
